Movers and Makers Camp
A HUGE thank you to everyone who pitched in for our second summer of Movers and Makers camp in Comer! Special thanks to the City of Comer for sharing the Big Red Barn as home base for and to everyone who helped drive for field trips, lead activities, or donated food and supplies. Ms. Imani Wheeler served as camp director and will continue this fall in leading Friday game days.
Friday Fun Days
Unplug, unwind, play outside, make new friends, and eat healthy snacks at The Perch. Open to 3rd through 10th grade. (older students can apply to be mentors!) Madison County School buses will drop enrolled participants off at The Perch each Friday afterschool starting on Sept 13. Pick up will be at 5:30. Click here to sign up!
Families asked to donate $10 a day. The afterschool program was funded by a federal grant that ended. We welcome financial support to pay our program director and high school peer mentors as well as buy healthy snacks. Your donations help us keep this program going and growing! Comer Community Theater Auditions!
When: Saturday, September 7 1:00 - 3:00. Rehearsal schedule will be announced at auditions.
Who: ages 10 and up
What: An original play inspired by Snow White written and directed by Eliza Bjork. Prepare a 30-second monologue for a main speaking part, no monologue needed to audition to be an extra. Volunteers needed for props, sound, lighting and costumes.
Where: On the stage at the Perch 1914 Madison St, Comer GA
